By accessing, downloading, or using VoiceCatcher, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

VoiceCatcher is a macOS application that enables local voice transcription. All processing occurs on your device; no audio or transcript data is sent to our servers. Features include:

• Voice-to-text transcription using local AI models.
• Auto-paste of transcribed text into active applications.
• History of recent transcriptions stored locally.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use VoiceCatcher.

4. User Obligations

You agree:

• To use the App in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Not to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the software.
• Not to use VoiceCatcher for unlawful, infringing, or harmful purposes.

5. Payment and Licensing

VoiceCatcher is sold as a one-time purchase. By purchasing a license, you obtain a limited, non-transferable right to install and use the App on your devices. No subscription is required. All sales are final except where required by law or covered by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in VoiceCatcher (excluding open-source components) are owned by us. You may not copy or modify any part of the App beyond what is permitted by applicable licenses.

VoiceCatcher incorporates open-source components (e.g., Whisper.cpp, Ollama) subject to their respective licenses. We acknowledge and comply with those terms.

7. Privacy

VoiceCatcher is designed for privacy. Your recordings and transcriptions are processed and stored locally on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or store your audio or text data. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

VoiceCatcher is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that it will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities resulting from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
